Flavor Weird LP from stoney jazz squad out of Fresno, CA (of all places). Mix of sounds from psychedelic eastern jazz to funky jazz. Solid LP - only a couple weaker tracks and an album that's apparently very hard to find. I don't want to give the impression with this gallery that I'm some soul & jazz expert - far from it. I'm just a fan who's found a few interesting things. My approach is very backwards 'cuz aside from a handful of basic, "common" soul & jazz records I grew up on, I really only pick-up super-obscure independent titles. These are fun 'cuz you never know what you're gonna find. Prices are cool too if you know where to look... |
